Pre-Season Starts with a Win for AR Elite Men’s Team
AR Elite Men’s Team kicked off pre-season in style with an exciting 5-4 victory over AFC Urmston Meadowside Red Star.
AR Elite Men’s Team got their pre-season campaign off to a positive start with an entertaining 5-4 win over AFC Urmston Meadowside Red Star.
The match gave the squad an excellent first opportunity to come together and begin building relationships on the pitch against opposition they will also face in the league. For a group still getting used to playing with one another, the performance showed real promise, quality and determination.
There were plenty of encouraging signs throughout the game, with the team showing strong attacking intent and the kind of character that will help build chemistry, momentum and belief in the months ahead.
One of the standout moments came from AR Elite U18 Head Coach Joe, who stepped onto the pitch and scored twice — proving that AR Elite coaches do not just talk the talk, they can walk the walk too when needed.
Overall, it was a very positive start for the AR Elite Men’s Team, and a strong foundation to build on as pre-season continues.
“It was a great way to see the team come together for the first time against a side in our league, so it was a very positive start. Considering many of the boys have not played together much before, they put in an incredible performance. In the months ahead, that will build strong bonds and chemistry that will be difficult to beat. It was also great to see one of the coaches, Joe, step on and score twice — showing that AR Elite coaches do not just talk the talk, they can walk it too when required. It was a brilliant matchday and hopefully the first of many positive days to come.”
